We are stoked to be on the cusp of another release from the Vans ArcAd division. Two new Pro Classics will be released tomorrow morning at 9am. This time the styles available will be the Old Skool Pro ArcAd and the Chukka Pro ArcAd. This time Vans have teamed up with Santa Cruz Skateboards and Taka Hayashi, a designer synonymous with Vans. Hayashi artwork appears subtly and iconic Santa Cruz logos are tastefully employed. It’s rad that the foxing features the “Skateboarding Is Not A Crime” slogan. As always Taka Hayashi has made sure to use the best materials to hand, opting for the highest quality suedes and leathers on both shoes. The designer when asked about working with Santa Cruz said “Santa Cruz’s endless archive of awesome skateboard graphics, logos, and fonts that defined the 80’s skateboarding scene left a huge impact on me as an artist and a skater. I really looked up to their style and artists like Jim Phillips, whose signature artwork continues to inspire me to this day.” We are sure that many of you out there and ourselves feel the same way. Certain visuals will always evoke memories and feelings from our childhood and this is something Vans and Santa Cruz manage to do regularly. Move quickly if you have your eyes on these, we have limited numbers as there are only 600 pairs available globally!
