We just received the new Converse x Civilist collaboration. Our friends in Berlin are on it when it comes to working with the brands they represent but they have never worked with Converse until now. For this team up they have mixed timeless established silhouettes with a strong homegrown narrative and finished each shoe with a solid colourway. They have chosen to work with the One Star Pro and the CTAS Pro. Uniting these two styles are images from the Berlin skyline. Two cloudbusting landmarks appear on the sole unit of each shoe. These are made of beautiful perforated white leather. They have an untouched all white leather upper punctuated by the Civilist outline of Germany on the tongue. On the heel straps embossed Civilist text appears on the left shoe and this is mirrored on the right shoe. Even the lace tips are branded. This Chuck Taylor All Star has also received the premium materials once over and it monochromatically mirrors it’s white partner. Black premium leather, including a leather toe cap sits aboard a white sole unit. The heel straps are white and stand off the shoe and this time the translucent sole which reveals the two towers is yellow. As always this limited collection from our German friends is executed to perfection. Anyone who is a fan of either of these two shoes will appreciate these editions which use superior materials.
