We just received these two shoes from Vans Syndicate. This Slip-On Pro and Authentic Pro were designed by Harmony Korine. Korine wrote the screenplay for the cult classic ‘Kids’ after a chance meeting with Larry Clark. This catapulted him into our consciousness in 1995 and he has gone on to write and direct other notable work like Gummo, Julien Donkey-Boy and most recently Spring Breakers. He is a prolific creative and an artist in his own right. His original artwork adorns the footbed of both of these shoes. Here are a more detailed set of images…
Both shoes feature the classic Vans checker board print hand drawn by Korine. Clear crystal gum grip preserves his work on the sole unit and original photographs appear on the box of this limited release. Although subtle at first glance lots of effort has gone into him making this release his own. You can shop for these and other new arrivals from Vans HERE
