Vans Fall 2014

We just received a new drop from Vans. In this delivery was a Vans Syndicate pack designed by the Berlin based store Civilist. It is called the ‘Flaschen’ pack. Flaschen means bottle in German and their own bottle print appears on each of the three shoes. Berlin is a boozy City and these are perfect drinking shoes. They chose to work with the Slip-On and the Era Pro S. On both of these shoes the ‘Flaschen’ print appears all over their ripstop fabric upper. On the Slip-On it is entirely black and white while on the sidewall of the Era Pro the print has a CMYK colouration. They also worked with the Sk8 Mid. For this shoe they kept the suede and ripstop upper plain black aboard a white sole with black piping. Here the “Flaschen’ print appears only on the heel panel. Another collaborative pack sees Vans working with Independent trucks…

In this pack there are two pro shoes, the AV Classic and the Rowley Pro Lite. For the AV Classic the canvas upper has been given an Independent once over with a reflective print throughout. Vans and Independent branding appears on the tongue and on an ankle tab. The Rowley Pro Lite has a black suede and leather upper on top of a white sole with red piping, Independent and Vans branding appears on the tongue and on the insole. There is also a Chukka Low. This has canvas sidewalls and a suede toe and heel on top of a gum rubber sole unit. Vans/Independent branding appears on the tongue and on a tab beneath the eyelets. Four Independent crosses are embossed on the heels. We also have two new design heavy Syndicate shoes…

These two shoes make up the Rapidweld Ad Inexplorata pack. There is a Seylynn. This stylish shoe has a full grain leather upper, Vans Rapidweld technology means that part of the upper is stitchless. The lining of the shoe incorporates temperature management and sits on top of a Vulcanised outsole. It’s partner is a Mt. Edition Mid . These have a Rapidweld synthetic upper combined with mesh panels on the sidewalls, heel and tongue. The velcro lacesaver makes this model unmistakable. Their sleek black stylings are apparently inspired by classified military operations. These two ‘special ops’ models come with numerous Syndicate patches meant to symbolise these operations.
