The Cyanotype process used to create the canvas patches which adorn each shoe relies on exposing photosensitive paper or canvas to sunlight. They wanted to reference how important sunlight is for skateboarding but Nick says “Ironically we filmed the accompanying video from November to February”. Nevertheless the result is Jacob Harris gold, a new development in his work. In this piece we experience a surreal portrait of what exists before and after the action.
