The pictures above show you what to expect. Two colour combinations are going to be available. Both start their lives with a solid colour upper, be that black or white. Each pair has a different colour sole unit on the left and right shoe which tells you what it will reveal. Wear and tear from skateboarding will uncover the original Jordan 1 colourways, either black and red or black and blue. This concept is a larger scale version of the Swoosh idea we incorporated when designing our first Nike shoe. Behind this project is Lance Mountain who ran Jordan’s as his skate shoe of choice and helped popularise them among the skate community. Perhaps take in a viewing of ‘The Search for Animal Chin’. These shoes were created with that time in mind, their being mismatched pays homage to punk DIY aesthetics. It encourages modification and ultimately them being used for the purpose intended.
