MWADLANDS Skate Park

Posted on

We can confirm that Palace Skateboards have saved skateboarding in London this Winter. MWADLANDS is a real thing and it’s amazing. Located in Peckham is a Palace love letter to UK skateboarding. In the early nineties an indoor skate park was a mythical beast and we would pilgrimage across the country for an afternoon. One destination was RADLANDS in Northampton, this park run by the Ince family opened in 1992 and closed in 2004. Many of us here were lucky enough to have skated there, witnessed and entered comps, met new friends from all over the place and saw American Pros in the flesh. Tom Penny’s winning run there in 1995 is the stuff of legend, it’s the most famous skate park line of all time. Some of the best obstacles from this magical place have been replicated at this new South London haven. This is a seventh wonders of the world style operation, you get to skate the funbox, roll-in and big hip. They have also included Love Park style ledges, a vert wall with a nod to Side Effects Of Urethane and more. You need to get down there at your earliest opportunity because it’s amazing!

The Park is located at UNIT 8 COPELAND PARK, 133 COPELAND ROAD, PECKHAM, LONDON, SE15 3SN.

It opens to the public on Wednesday 25 October at 2pm.
